Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks' PREMIA ES pedestrian power pallet truck has won the 2012 Red Dot Award for product design.
A jury of 30 international experts chose the pallet truck from over 4,500 products, representing 1,800 companies from 58 countries.
Mitsubishi designers focused on durability and efficiency issues when developing the water-resistant 1.6-2.0 T pallet trucks.

Toyota refreshes pallet truck

Toyota Material Handling has updated the BT Levio P-series industrial powered pallet truck.
The truck's appearance has been updated to reflect other models in the BT Levio powered pallet truck family, and other changes include safety and productivity features like automatic speed reduction on cornering and a "softer, more controllable response in pedestrian mode".

EnerSys introduces new line

EnerSys has launched the Express eMax HF line of advanced, high-frequency industrial fast chargers.
Marketing director Steve Spaar explains: "Early high-frequency fast chargers had no choice but to rely on analogue power controls, which was like putting an average driver at the wheel of a race car.
"Because eMax HF was designed with the latest digital power controls, it's like giving the wheel to the winner of the Indy 500 - power and precise control all in one."
