Lighting specialist TYRI has been recognised by Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) for exceptional performance, receiving the coveted ‘Best Quality’ award, ranking first among all Toyota suppliers across Europe.
For over a decade, TYRI has supplied high-performance lighting systems to Toyota’s European production facilities in Ancenis (France), Bologna (Italy) and Mjölby (Sweden). These solutions play a crucial role in the safety, visibility and efficiency of Toyota’s material handling equipment operating in warehouses, factories and logistics centres worldwide.
A long-standing partnership in material handling excellence
The close collaboration between Toyota and TYRI has been built on shared values of precision, reliability and continuous improvement, key principles in the material handling sector.
In a discussion with Guillaume Aoustin, Business Development & Strategic Commodities Senior Manager at TMHE Supply Purchasing, he highlighted the importance of TYRI’s contribution to Toyota’s success:
“I am highly impressed by TYRI’s performance, both in terms of quality and meeting our other requirements. It is clear that they prioritise delivering according to our specifications and also initiate collaborations that help us improve and provide even better products. That’s why I’m pleased that TYRI has been awarded the Best Quality recognition among our European suppliers this year,” he said during our discussion.
Recognition of TYRI’s quality commitment
For TYRI, the award confirms their long-standing focus on meeting the most demanding standards in industrial and material handling lighting.
Martin Karlberg, CEO and founder of TYRI says,
“Quality is a hallmark of Toyota. Therefore, it’s particularly rewarding for us to receive this recognition. It confirms that we maintain very high-quality standards, and being acknowledged for it is incredibly gratifying. We value the high expectations Toyota places on its suppliers and welcome the collaboration we have to further refine the production and products we deliver. This makes TYRI a better company and helps us continue to grow.”
The recognition followed another milestone for the lighting manufacturer. TYRI was named a Certified Supplier in France, the highest ranking in Toyota’s three-tier supplier evaluation system.
Laura Roche from Toyota Material Handling Manufacturing France SAS added:
“We want to extend our sincere thanks for the quality of your services and the outstanding results you have delivered over the past year. Your commitment, professionalism, and responsiveness have greatly contributed to our shared success, and we are delighted to have such a reliable partner as you. Your ability to meet our expectations, often within tight deadlines, is especially appreciated and has strengthened our mutual trust.”
From forklifts to warehouse solutions
Throughout their partnership, TYRI has supported Toyota with lighting solutions tailored specifically for the material handling environment, from standard work lights to custom-engineered systems that enhance operator visibility, safety and brand identity.
When TYRI developed a bespoke lighting design for a Toyota warehouse truck, it not only improved functionality but also earned the Red Dot Design Award, reflecting how innovation and aesthetics can align in industrial equipment.
“We have an incredibly exciting and stimulating collaboration with Toyota, where we utilise all our expertise to deliver the desired products. It is with pride and humility that we accept the Best Quality award, and we now aim to prove ourselves worthy of it. We look forward to a long and continued successful partnership,” concluded Martin Karlberg.
Looking ahead: quality and sustainability hand in hand
Beyond quality, TYRI continues to strengthen its focus on sustainability, an increasingly vital area for the material handling industry. From energy-efficient LED technology to environmentally conscious production, TYRI aims to reduce environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.
“We see great opportunities in our partnership with Toyota. We want to learn more about sustainability and work together to create the most energy-efficient product lifecycle possible,” said PeO Axelsson, Marketing Manager at TYRI.
With innovation, collaboration and quality at the core, TYRI remains a trusted partner in lighting solutions for Toyota’s material handling operations and a benchmark for excellence across the industry.
