Stored energy solutions specialists for industrial applications, EnerSys, has achieved Underwriter Laboratories (UL) approval for its NexSys+ outdoor battery chargers.

EnerSys says the NexSys+ outdoor charger system is suitable for battery-powered materials handling and airport ground support equipment used in outdoor equipment and is protected by a NEMA 3R and IP54 rated enclosure for resistance to common weather conditions.

The company states the outdoor chargers automatically regulate internal temperature, offer automatic and manual start/stop functionality, have intuitive controls and includes a 4.3 inch colour display.

EnerSys says the charger can deliver “up to 94% charging efficiency”.
