Slamcore has launched a new pedestrian detection system
UK spatial intelligence software provider Slamcore, has launched its Slamcore Alert pedestrian detection and driver alert system designed to fit forklifts and materials handling equipment.
Slamcore Alert builds on the company’s existing Slamcore Aware, real-time location system which assists with comprehensive traffic flow optimisation in facilities where people, manual vehicles and robots operate in tandem.
“Robot-only operations simply isn’t feasible for most existing facilities, especially since the forklift market continues to grow rapidly,” says Owen Nicholson, CEO of Slamcore. “We are moving beyond that mindset.
“Our technology empowers human controlled, existing machines with ‘robot eyes’ to give them the precise spatial perception they need to operate effectively and safely.”
