Caldwell launches telescoping forklift beamWisconsin-headquartered Caldwell Lifting Solutions and North American subsidiary of Lifting Gear Hire (LGH) have jointly released the Caldwell Telescoping Forklift Beam for long and bulky materials.
The telescoping forklift beam has a payload capacity of 10,000 lbs (4536kg), a spread range of 12-20 ft. (3.7-6.1m) and dual 5t swivel hooks with an optional centre hook.
Chris Hyatte, product manager at LGH, explains they approached Caldwell to help them address a recurring challenge customers were experiencing.
“We noticed…customers needed a way to lift and transport longer materials like rebar bundles and piping without the overhead clearance or access for cranes,” Hyatte adds.
“Traditional forklift attachments just weren’t cutting it in terms of reach, adaptability, or safety. We saw an opportunity to create something better—an all-in-one solution that would bridge this gap and maximise on-site efficiency.”
The telescoping forklift beam is already being used by a number of customers in North America and, LGH says, the response has been positive and, Hyatte says, it has increased their materials handling efficiency.
