Combilift launches poultry forklift
Monaghan, IrelandCombilift Ltd has launched the Combi-RT at the International Poultry Show in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, followed by an on-site launch at one of the UK's largest equipment providers to the poultry processing sector, Keyo Agricultural Services.
Combilift owners Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar used Keyo's feedback to develop the new vehicle.
McVicar says the purpose-built forklift makes the whole process of handling live poultry speedier, quieter and more streamlined.
Still introduces new system, wins awards
Hamburg, GermanyStill GmbH has introduced a self-learning truck control system that is part of its new modular software package for material flow management.
The software enables users to operate warehouses efficiently and to optimise the internal transportation of goods. Its main components are the warehouse administration system, the transport and truck control system including order picking functions, and the information system.
Separately, Still has won three iF product design awards for its EXU-SF low-lift pallet truck, EK-X vertical order picker and the RX 70 diesel counterbalance truck.
Linde launches logistics train
Stuttgart, GermanyLinde Material Handling launched its logistics train at the LogiMAT trade fair last week.
The logistics train comprises a Linde P 50 C trailer with 5 tonnes of pulling force, four "intelligent" load trailers, which consist of a steel frame with six rollers, an electric lifting device for pallet frames, and a tiller with trailer coupling.
The operator can slide loaded dollies onto the load trailer and lift them off the ground at the touch of a button. The dolly is then lowered at the destination and slid onto the desired surface.
