Style renewal for Flexi
Tipton, United KingdomFlexi Narrow Aisle has announced a major quality and branding upgrade for its range of Flexi articulated forklifts. While the trucks will remain in the familiar red colour, the Flexi brand, which appears on various places on the truck chassis, will now be silver and reduced in size. The four wheel hubs will also be changed to an automotive-style metallic silver to tie in with the new decals.
A new 'roundel' has also been created, retaining the original Flexi logo, and will feature on either side of the mast support.
The new look was brought in following the successful launch of the FlexiPICK truck at CEMAT 2014. The FlexiPICK was the first model in the Flexi range to feature the red and silver design.
Sales director John Maguire says: "Our adoption of automotive style product branding has provided us with an opportunity to retain our original 'true radius' design concept and still present our Flexi product range in a modern and professional way."
Kalmar launches reach stackers in the Americas
Cibolo, TX, United StatesKalmar is launching its range of Gloria reach stackers into the Americas. This follows the introduction of Gloria into the European and Asia Pacific markets.
The launch took place last week at Kalmar's factory in Cibolo, Texas, in conjunction with the annual Kalmar North American dealer meeting.
According to Kalmar, Gloria combines high performance with low running costs. The reach stacker has a lift capacity of 45 T and a capability to stack up to 6 high (5 high on the intermodal). There is a choice of three ECO driving modes: power, normal and economy; this means that up to 20% fuel savings can be achieved.
The automatic stop/start function is said to result in a further 10% fuel saving and a reduction in emissions.
Sales and marketing director Stefan Johansson says: "We are particularly excited about launching Gloria into the Americas markets. Our global strategy for market growth has been driven by meeting the critical demands of our customers and, as a result, we have enjoyed considerable success with the introduction of our fifth generation reach stackers."
