Jungheinrich honoured by Deutsche Post DHL
Bonn, Germany Deutsche Post DHL Group has presented its 2017 Supplier Award in the sustainability category to Jungheinrich.
The key supplier for the world's leading logistics group was selected from among 90 applications submitted from around the world.
The Deutsche Post DHL Group Supplier Award was established in 2016 and aimed at intensifying cooperation with suppliers while measuring their contribution to Deutsche Post DHL Group's "Strategy 2020 - Focus, Connect, Grow" program.
Jungheinrich was recognised for an increasing proportion of recycled materials handling equipment used by companies throughout Europe. Resorting to secondary use of materials rather than new production reduces CO2 emissions by around 80% per unit of materials handling equipment. This approach makes a substantial contribution to meeting the group's sustainability targets.
