STILL receives prestigious prize
Hamburg, BerlinSTILL GmbH has received the prestigious German Prize for Business Communications for the second time. Matthias Klug, director of international corporate communications, accepted the Golden Spark in the best online and mobile communication category at a gala ceremony attended by over 500 guests in Berlin.
STILL beat competitors like the Provinzial Insurance Group and the Berlin Sanitation Service to receive the distinction for its iPad application "STILL EASY", which is a marketing tool for international sales and a digital product experience for customers.
The prize has been awarded annually since 2001. This year, students at Berlin's University of Applied Sciences, led by Prof Dr Reinhold Roski, nominated 50 finalists in a total of eight prize categories from over 1,200 entrants.
BJB Lift Trucks honoured
Grimsby, United KingdomBJB Lift Trucks has won the Grimsby Institute Training Excellence Award and the Phillips 66 Excellence in Community Relations Award, and was the runner-up in the category for economic investment in northeast Lincolnshire.
Head of marketing Nikki Hale told Grimsby Evening Telegraph that the awards reflected the way the forklift company conducts its business and the way it trains staff, buys goods and services, and interacts with the northern Lincolnshire community.
"We also place great emphasis on safety, given the nature of the industries in which we work on trucks," she added.
Carrylift receives accolade
Skelmersdale, United KingdomThe Carrylift Group has received an outstanding sales achievement award from Nissan Forklift GB for its performance in 2012-13.
Having succeeded in meeting its sales targets for new Nissan forklifts, the group was awarded the Nissan Sales Achievement award at Nissan Forklift GB's dealer conference at the Ullesthorpe Court Hotel in Rugby this month.
Nissan Forklift GB general manager Derek Robson says Carrylift Group has consistently demonstrated an excellent sales performance and delivered on its targets.
The group's customer base includes Silentnight, Meyer Timber, Calor Gas, BT Cables Limited, Smurfit Kappa UK, Rettig, Vantec Europe Ltd and Caledonian Alloys Ltd.
CAM gets Going for Gold
Sheffield, United KingdomNissan Forklift has also presented Cam Forklift Trucks with its Going For Gold award after the business achieved outstanding parts sales in 2012-13.
Nissan Forklift GB General manager Derek Robson says: "Not only has Cam Forklift Trucks exceeded its parts sales targets for 2012-13, but the business' ongoing commitment to providing first class customer service made them the worthy recipients of this award."
Cam Forklift Trucks Ltd says its clients include many blue chip businesses in and around the Yorkshire region, as well as smaller companies.
Managing director Mac Mason was presented with the sales achievement award at Nissan Forklift's dealer conference.
FLTA recognised for best practice
Alton, United KingdomThe Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has been named as a finalist in the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards 2013.
The honour recognises the work undertaken by the FLTA in achieving "a sustained improvement in the national accident record" and for its work as a source of best practice advice in an industry where at least 23 sets of legislation, official guidance and regulations can be confusing or time-consuming for companies to interpret.
"Members, the media and forklift users rely on the FLTA office as a first port of call for clarification on contentious, technical, legislative or, crucially, safety issues," explains FLTA CEO Peter Harvey. The winners of the awards will be announced on 11 July.
