Mitsubishi launches six-model series
Almere, The Netherlands

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has introduced the VELIA ES range, a six-model series of low-level order pickers that it says has been developed for "maximum versatility".
Based on the award-winning design of its OPB20BE, the VELIA ES 1.0 to 2.0 T trucks are available with a choice of load sections, including cantilever and scissor lift, which allow for loads to be lifted to a 800 mm (31.5 in.) height.
The new series also includes three rising platform models, which lift the operator to a 2.5 m (8.2 ft.) height for safe second-level picking.

New and improved forklift series
Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Nissan Forklift has updated the TX forklift series.
The upgrade includes adapting the forklifts' exterior design to a modern look which is in line with the rest of Nissan Forklift's electric family. Apart from changes that boost efficiency and productivity, the forklifts incorporate Nissan's Risk Reduction System containing safety features that comply with the latest European machinery directive, 2006/42/EC.
The electric forklifts, available for delivery this month, come in the compact three-wheel and four-wheel versions.

Detachable lifting system
Douglassville, PA, United States

Hoist manufacturer American Crane & Equipment Corp has introduced detachable vacuum systems and free-standing vacuum lifters that can lift heavy objects.
The AL-Vac vacuum lifters and manipulators can lift objects weighing from a few pounds to several tons. Vacuum lifters can be freestanding or attached to a forklift, and reduce the time spent loading boxes, pails, drums, material sheets, kegs, barrels, and drums to a pallet. The company claims using vacuum power can reduce work-related injuries.
