The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has appointed Tim Waples as its new chief executive.
Waples will join the association on 1 March 2019.
Chairman Duncan Nealon says Waples is "the perfect fit for our organisation and brings with him a wealth of experience and a truly in-depth knowledge of this industry".
Waples has held executive positions at Doosan Industrial Vehicles and served as president of the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA), where he achieved the rare distinction of serving a second term in that role. He was influential in the creation of F-TEC, the forklift industry's dedicated engineering training centre, created in conjunction with the FLTA.

MonarchFx has announced the appointment of Chris Talley as vice president of product development and deployment. Talley will join the team to assist with the development, procurement, integration, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of a suite of integrated, best-of-breed applications designed to deliver rapid value and a competitive advantage for MonarchFx sellers.
Talley brings 20 years of supply chain management experience. He has a proven track record of process improvement and cost reduction, along with an in-depth knowledge of international supply chains, including transportation and distribution operations.
Prior to joining MonarchFx, Talley was a senior director at Kuehne + Nagel Integrated Logistics. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee.

Hoppecke Industrial Batteries.
Browne, who has been with the company for three years, will head up the operations side of the business with a remit covering sales, warehousing, service and rental. This new role has been created specifically to bring sales and service closer together and to ensure that service support meets customer needs, both now and in the future.
"This move is about breaking down the internal silos and evolving our company culture so that we're able to offer innovative, flexible and rapid solutions to meet our customers' ever-changing needs," he explains. "While our sales people are the operational face of the business, it is our engineers who have the day-to-day relationship with our customers. So, working in conjunction with sales, our technical team can tap into innovative ideas that will help our customers overcome their logistics and materials handling problems."
