Discussion:
New Batteries, New Charger

I have an MPB040-EN24T2748. I have replaced the batteries, and the charger. The charger's green light is illuminated (solid, not flashing). So it says the batteries are charged. But when I go to operate it by pulling the control arm down, I have nothing. The machine doesn't work. I checked the voltage, and all 4 batteries read around 7.25v. From the main power plug, the voltage reads 25.8v I checked all the connections and they are good. Can someone please help me figure out what could possibly be wrong. Thanks!

IF YOU CAN GET A ZAPI HANDSET IF THAT IS THE CONTROLLER AND GET THE ADAPTA CABLE YOU CAN PLUG INTO CONTROLLER AND GET ERROR CODE AND CHECK WHAT HAPPENS ONCE HANDLE IS PULLED DOWN.

there is a proximity sensor located in the base of the handle arm at the drive unit where the control arm pivots, it may or 'may not' click.
you would have to disconnect it from the harness and check it with a vom meter to verify if it is working or not.
This switch/sensor interfaces directly with the motor controller and has to operate to turn on the trucks systems usually via a main contactor.
When you turn on the truck and pull the handle down this should activate turning on the rest of the systems, if it is working normally you would hear the main contactor pull in (click).

This unit should have a battery discharge meter display unit, look at the hour meter display and see if it is showing any code when you try and activate the truck, pull the handle down and try to raise or move the unit and watch the display. Is it showing a code?
If this unit has no meter display then you will need to check the led on the motor controller and see if it is flashing any codes. This unit should have the battery display unit on it so you should see an error code displayed on it and also see a red led flashing on the motor controller if any problem exists.

plus make sure battery voltage is good and you check the main power fuse and the control fuse(s) on the panel and even the one on the battery charger. (yes the battery charger interfaces with the truck too and might cause issues if that fuse is blown)

good luck

It could be the board, it also could be any of the switches in the handle. If a switch is closed or the directional **** is not centered it will cause a non startup. You may need to contact your local dealer to connect software to see what is causing your problem.

There isn't a click sound. Could it be the circuit board in the handle?

If you are not getting a click sound when you pull the handle down, and turn the throttle, the jack isn't turning on. There is a switch on the handle that tells it handle position is good to go. Sometimes you can move the handle through it's entire range little by little turning the throttle and find a place it works. Also called a dead man switch on some models.

Do you have a display on this jack? If you do what does it say.
