TZCO's 65T electric forklift has been unveiledChina’s Taichung Group (TZCO), a subsidiary of Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group, has released what it believes is the world’s largest-capacity lithium-ion forklift, a 65T vehicle released to the market earlier this month.
In a news piece published by China Central Television (CCTV) - which was subsequently re-published on TZCO’s website saying it is an excellent story - the counterbalance forklift is described as establishing “a new technical benchmark for the industrial vehicle field”.
CCTV media refers to its as the “largest lithium-electric counterbalanced forklift in the world” which comes with a 528kWh lithium battery pack.
TZCO is a state-owned manufacturer of heavy machinery, founded in 1950 and now exporting to more than 60 countries globally.
The company produces clean-powered forklifts with lithium-ion, hydrogen and methanol energy utilised. All of TZCO’s forklifts are symbolically painted green.
Zhao Pengxin, the technical officer with TZCO is reported as telling media the “Big Mac” of forklifts offers precise micro-motion and is suitable for use in port terminals, steelworks and large-scale infrastructure projects.
CCTV additionally reports TZCO’s Taizhong manufacturing site is able to produce 1000,000 forklifts annually while the whole manufacturing system, means “it only takes 6.5 minutes from a steel plate to a forklift off the line”.
