New Zealand's Ibex launches articulated forkliftNew Zealand materials handling machinery supplier and manufacturer Warehouse Machinery Distributors (WMD), has announced the launch of a new articulated forklift brand to enter the market - Ibex.
WMD says the forklift has been undergoing market testing for the last 18 months and has been designed for high-density warehouse environments.
It has a lift capacity of between 1.5T and 3T, a mast range of 4.3m to 15m and can travel at a speed of 16km/h.
Engineered for narrow-aisle operations, the Ibex is lithium-ion powered and has a number of what WMD describes as unique features including innovative electronic hydraulic controls, advanced load-handling capability, and ergonomic controls designed to reduce operator fatigue.
It has a compact turning radius and high-precision mast control, making it suitable for use in warehousing, logistics, and 3PL operations.
“IBEX is a rapidly emerging challenger brand built on three core principles: Quality, Innovation, and Value,” WMD states. “The new articulated range reflects this philosophy, combining robust engineering with operator-focused design.”
WMD managing director, Nat Turner, says the IBEX launch marks an important milestone for both the company and New Zealand’s materials handling sector.
WMD also produces forklifts, pallet stackers, order pickers and reach trucks under the Onyx brand.
