New engine for Fortens trucks
Craigavon, IrelandHyster has launched a new engine for its 2-3.5 T Fortens range of LPG forklifts.
The new 2.5 L Kubota engine is claimed to offer greater performance to the H2.0-3.5FT and S2.0-3.5FT models with better operating flexibility through engine management control.
"It features similar components to a diesel engine, without using a lot of fuel," explains marketing manager David Rowell. "It also reduces vibration for operators and noise levels for those working around the forklifts."
There are three performance modes available for the 2-3.5 T Fortens range - the HiP (High Performance), which is the standard operating mode, and the ECO and ECO-eLo (fuel efficiency) modes that reduce the maximum engine speed and make the engine's response less aggressive, resulting in fuel savings.
Impact launches manoeuvrable range
Nottingham, United KingdomImpact Handling is introducing the new EP25-35N 80 volt counterbalance range from Cat Lift Trucks, which it says is its most manoeuvrable line-up of electric trucks.
Fitted with a next-generation, four-wheel steering system, the trucks can work in confined warehouse spaces and are designed to cope with intensive duties and tough conditions.
The truck can be steered using the front axle, which Impact says helps reduce tyre wear and delivers improved agility and grip.
There are five models in the range, including two compact versions, with capacities of 2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 T.
New technology from Honeywell

Optimised for forklift and other vehicle installations, the CV31 features an internal 30-minute backup battery and ignition control, and keeps drivers productive by eliminating reboots and re-connect idle time after vehicle battery swaps.
