Mitsubishi launches new trucks
Almere, The NetherlandsMitsubishi Forklift Trucks has added the SENSiA reach trucks to its comprehensive range of warehouse trucks.
To develop the 11-strong family of reach trucks, the company says it conducted a Europe-wide study among managers and forklift operators to find out the key to optimum reach truck operations. Lifting up to 13 m (43 ft.), the trucks feature "revolutionary, patented fingertip controls with modulated pressure that responds naturally to a driver's touch".
SENSiA's performance can be tailored to operators' needs with a choice of two settings as standard. The ECO mode keeps power consumption low and is ideal for new operators or extended shifts while the PRO mode provides more experienced operators with higher performance.
Jungheinrich launches new storage system
Milton Keynes, United KingdomJungheinrich has added two new storage and retrieval systems to its logistics systems range.
The products, based on proven carousel technology, are the Jungheinrich Lift Racking (LRK) and the Jungheinrich Paternoster Racking (PRK).
Both the LRK and PRK systems, which were showcased for the first time at CeMAT 2014, are based on the 'goods-to-man' principle and were developed to offer space-saving storage and efficient order picking.
Steve Richmond, director of Jungheinrich UK Ltd's systems and projects division, says the new storage solutions can be integrated with equipment in the intralogistics system range.
