FB Chain introduces new range
Letchworth, United Kingdom

A range of forklift chains featuring plastic flights and guide attachments is now available from FB Chain Ltd.
The plastic attachments are incorporated within the chains design. They hold hydraulic hoses and reduce the type of mast cylinder damage that often results from metal on metal friction and is a common cause of truck downtime.
According to FB Chain, this type of chains is most usually found on Linde and Jungheinrich trucks, but other leading forklift makers, including Komatsu, Still and Toyota, also use it.

Award for attachment
Plaidt, Germany

Durwerns new clamp range has been awarded the Rheinland-Pflz Success Innovation award. The Rheinland-Pflz Ministry of the Economy and the Rheinland-Pflz ISB Bank present the award to German companies with innovations that have generated significant increases in sales.
With over 60 years of engineering experience, Durwen has developed a clamp range with innovative designs including slot and key technology, the patented smart oil supply and other patent-pending advances, according to the citation.
The clamps cover up to 14 T capacities.

Hyster shows new truck
Fleet, United Kingdom

The new Hyster reach truck has been launched at simultaneous events across Europe.
Ralf Mock, managing director, EMEA for NMHG, says the new model has been intelligently designed to deliver reliability, dependability and a low cost of ownership.
It can lift loads up to 12.5 m (41 ft.) and is technically advanced, featuring a new mast design and a modular operator compartment.
According to Hyster, there are two mast types that are available and share innovative features. The new, unique patented channel mast design means that residual capacity is maintained to greater heights and visibility is improved through reduced total channel width.

Lift truck reaches new heights

Initially available in 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.5 T load capacities, the 2.5 T model has been designed to lift a 1T load to a height of 12.5 m (41 ft.).
