FB Chain introduces new range
Letchworth, United KingdomA range of forklift chains featuring plastic flights and guide attachments is now available from FB Chain Ltd.
The plastic attachments are incorporated within the chains design. They hold hydraulic hoses and reduce the type of mast cylinder damage that often results from metal on metal friction and is a common cause of truck downtime.
According to FB Chain, this type of chains is most usually found on Linde and Jungheinrich trucks, but other leading forklift makers, including Komatsu, Still and Toyota, also use it.
Award for attachment

With over 60 years of engineering experience, Durwen has developed a clamp range with innovative designs including slot and key technology, the patented smart oil supply and other patent-pending advances, according to the citation.
The clamps cover up to 14 T capacities.
Hyster shows new truck

Ralf Mock, managing director, EMEA for NMHG, says the new model has been intelligently designed to deliver reliability, dependability and a low cost of ownership.
It can lift loads up to 12.5 m (41 ft.) and is technically advanced, featuring a new mast design and a modular operator compartment.
According to Hyster, there are two mast types that are available and share innovative features. The new, unique patented channel mast design means that residual capacity is maintained to greater heights and visibility is improved through reduced total channel width.
Lift truck reaches new heights
Fleet, United KingdomYale Material Handlings new MR reach truck has been redesigned from the ground up.
The manufacturer says the truck redefines the standards warehouse managers and forklift operators can expect from a modern reach truck and features a new chassis, new mast design, new operator compartment and new control systems.
Initially available in 1.4, 1.6, 2.0 and 2.5 T load capacities, the 2.5 T model has been designed to lift a 1T load to a height of 12.5 m (41 ft.).
