EP's green mission
Hangzhou, ChinaEP Equipment has outlined its approach to intelligence, digitisation and greening as it showed off a series of new products at its recent EP Equipment 629 Ceremony and New Product Announcement at the Anji North Industrial Park.
EP Equipment showcased Li-ion technology and confirmed a dual battery strategy for the next generation of EP pallet trucks.
EP Equipment founder and president John He told attendees: "There are over 3 million diesel forklifts in China and the carbon emissions of every unit are equal to 25 cars. If more users could shift to electric trucks, there would be less pollution. EP will aim to create eco-friendly products through the whole process, from designing to after-sales."
Hangcha launches Li-ion trucks
Hangzhou, ChinaHangcha has launched its new XH series 2.0 - 3.5 T electric forklift with high-voltage lithium-ion batteries.
The new models deliver the performance of an IC truck in terms of productivity and efficiency, alongside benefits from reduced noise levels, zero emissions and a low total cost of ownership, according to the company.
"The launch of this truck series provides demanding industrial application an incredible alternative to an IC truck," says Kelly Xu, marketing manager of Hangcha. "It can provide the great productivity and efficiency of an IC truck while (operating) free from emissions."
The tough trucks are designed for materials handling in heavy-duty industries such as in brick and blocks, metal, and energy industries, thanks to its fast acceleration and top speeds of up to 21 km/h (laden), ideal for sites with long working times and long driving distances.
The high-voltage lithium batteries (309 V) can be fully charged in an hour and keep running for 12 hours, depending on working conditions.
