Palfinger's middle-seat, truck-mounted forkliftThe Bauma International trade fair in Munich has seen around 600,000 visitors from more than 200 countries, dropped by to see the 3,601 exhibits from 57 nations, including the debut of some new materials handling equipment.
Attendance figures were an impressive 21% above the 495,000 who attended the last Bauma held in Munich in 2022.
Palfinger premiered its new middle-seat model truck-mounted forklift from its FL range. The FLM prototype shown at Bauma will be available in the northern summer of 2025.
Palfinger also unveiled its side-seat FLS 25 electric forklift.
“We have developed the FL range by carefully listening to our customers’ requirements and operational demands,” global product line management and R&D SVP with Palfinger, Andreas Hille explains.”It is characterised by a modular design, longer operating times and a prolonged service life. Additionally, the newly developed mast significantly maximizes the operator's field of view.”
Manitou's ME 430 forklift
Manitou Group showcased nine new models including the ME 430 electric forklift, a new ultra-high rotating telehandler and the second prototype of a hydrogen telehandler.
The new ME430 Lift electric forklift is powered by lithium-ion batteries, with a payload capacity of 3.5T. It is suitable for internal use or emission-sensitive environments and has high manoeuvrability.
The two new electric high-lift telehandlers, the MT 1440e and MT 1840e, powered by 63 kWh lithium-ion batteries, and designed to meet demanding working conditions.

Ausa's rough terrain C151E forklift
Spanish-headquartered all-terrain vehicle manufacturer Ausa showcased its C151E electric rough terrain forklift with a payload capacity of 1.5T electric Rough Terrain Forklift range which it says has been redesigned to optimise performance and efficiency.
The maximum lift height of the C151E forklift is 4m and it is powered by a 19.6 kW electric motor. Ausa says the forklift has been designed for environments which require low emissions such as greenhouses, night municipal works or enclosed spaces.
Combilift unveiled its new self-propelled inloader which boasts a 30T capacity and was developed in collaboration with pre-cast concrete specialists Spaansen.
Sinoboom's Susan Xu
MEWP manufacturer Sinoboom Group, announced it has acquired Holland Lift “including all of the business’s intellectual property, through its European subsidiary, Sinoboom BV”, the company states.
Holland Lift machines are known for their heavy-duty, high-reach capabilities, and the acquisition will deliver a range of over 30 models with reach heights from 16m to 34m, many offering loading capacities of over 1,000kg.
Susan Xu, CEO of Sinoboom Group, says the acquisition is “a natural extension to our existing product portfolio”.
“[It] will allow us to offer our global customer base a wider range, whilst also allowing Sinoboom to develop new customers whose business is often focused in this sector of high-capacity scissors,” Xu continues.
The next Bauma trade fair will be held in 2028.
