Hyster releases new electric forklifts
Hyster has expanded its J10-18XD series of electric forklifts, which can be configured according to the requirements of a range of heavy-duty applications.
Now available with load capacities ranging from 10,000 to 18,000 kg, with load centres of 600 to 1200 mm, the forklifts are available with battery sizes that match various duty cycle and charging requirements.
The company says the 350V architecture featured in the series provides ICE-like performance and energy efficiency. It delivers long run times and minimises energy loss without the additional cost associated with higher-voltage systems.
“These trucks show our continued commitment to providing a practical electric solution with a competitive total cost of ownership, which can be tailored to meet the needs of many applications,” says Ricky Hirani, global commercial product leader, big trucks, Hyster.
Hirani says that, in designing the forklifts, Hyster also took steps to help ease the transition for operations pursuing decarbonisation.
These include a high level of commonality with equivalent diesel Hyster models, tools to help monitor and manage batteries, and compatibility with common charging infrastructure.
