Hyster 's new H155 UTHyster has expanded its UT Series of forklifts to include two new higher-capacity, internal combustion engine (ICE) models designed for “less demanding materials handling needs” within the warehousing, mining, manufacturing and metals industries.
The H80-100UT has payload capacities from 8,000 lbs. (3,629kg) to 10,000 lbs. (4,536kg) while the H110-155UT has payload capacities between 11,000 lbs. (4,990kg) and 15,500 lbs. (7,031kg).
Hyster says the new models include features such as a wide-view mast for visibility, a 3.5-inch LCD display and a familiar, automotive-style layout in the cabin for operator comfort.
An operator presence system comes as standard and can be configured with an optional full-suspension seat which reduces the shock and vibration experienced by the operator.
Hyster says the new models have been designed to keep operational costs low with the engine covers, instrument panel, display and many other components interchangeable with other UT Series models.
Jennifer Meyers, global activation manager with Hyster, says: “The new additions to the UT Series play a key role in our approach to meet operations where they are by providing the strength and performance they expect from Hyster in solutions that are right-sized for their application”.
“The simple and straightforward design of these new trucks provides the ergonomics and serviceability to keep operators stacking, loading and moving goods, and to keep operating costs low,” Meyers continues.
The Hyster UT line was launched in 2020 with 4,000 lbs. (1,814kg) to 7,000 lbs. (3,175kg) capacity ICE-powered vehicles and has since grown into a broader range which include lithium-ion and lead acid battery options.
