US-based JLG Industries has completed its acquisition of telehandler and all-terrain machine manufacturer Ausacorp (Ausa), as the company continues its growth strategy.
JLG, an OshKosh company which makes EWPs and telehandlers, paid an undisclosed sum for the Spanish-headquartered Ausa, finalising the acquisition which was announced in May.
The acquisition included Ausa’s 23,000 sqm manufacturing facility in Barcelona, the 350 team members and access to 200 equipment dealers worldwide. Ausa was founded in Spain in 1956 and operates in 90 countries with subsidiaries in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, the US and China.
Ausa and JLG collaborated in 2020 to produce the SkyTrak 3013 compact telehandler.
JLG president Mahesh Narang says of the acquisition: “Ausa’s culture of innovation and quality matches the same standards we hold and our shared core values around safety, productivity and sustainability position us well for the future”.
“Together, we will work diligently, as both companies always have, to meet the needs of our customers,” he continues. “Our combined capabilities, market leadership positions and complementary product offerings provide a more comprehensive solution to address market needs, expand our operational footprint and unlock growth opportunities worldwide.”
Narang said the acquisition, when combined with the acquisition of Italian spider lift manufacturer Hinowa completed in 2023, helps the company to establish a global footprint.
