Dexory secures funding for expansion
London, United Kingdom
Warehouse robot maker Dexory has secured USD19 million to fund an expansion into the United States and central and northern Europe, which will double the company’s workforce by the end of this year.
The cash injection from European venture capital firm Atomico, Lakestar, Kindred, Capnamic and Maersk Growth, will also help Dexory ramp up production of its automated robots in the United Kingdom.
Dexory’s digital platform, DexoryView, which is already being used by Maersk and Menzies Aviation, can perform a full warehouse scan in just a matter of hours, around 100 times faster than humans.
Dexory chief executive officer and co-founder Andrei Danescu says: “Technology that is autonomous, real-time, intuitive and integrated can have a transformative effect on the everyday efficiency, productivity and accuracy of a warehouse - and form an integral part of revamping businesses supply chain strategies”.
