Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) has appointed Kevin W Alexander as chief procurement officer. Alexander will be responsible for developing and implementing a corporate procurement strategy and organisational structure to leverage the combined resources of Toyota Material Handling USA Inc (TMHU), Toyota Industrial Equipment Mfg Inc (TIEM) and The Raymond Corporation. Alexander has over 15 years of executive experience, most recently as vice president of global sourcing for Honeywell Security Group and Honeywell International Inc. Prior to Honeywell, he was vice president of strategic sourcing at Dover Corporation's Paladin Brands Material Handling division. He has also held leadership positions at The Boeing Company, Glasstech Inc and SKF USA Inc. TMHNA is comprised of TMHU, a Toyota forklift supplier in the US; TIEM, Toyota's forklift manufacturing facility in Columbus, Indiana; and The Raymond Corporation, a provider of narrow aisle electric forklifts in North America.

Valley Industrial Trucks has appointed Mark Evans as vice president of operations.
Evans is a veteran of the United States Navy and has extensive experience in materials handling operations. He has over a decade of experience in aftermarket support for forklift manufacturers and distributors. He will be using this experience to develop and refine customer support and services as well as implementing process improvement strategies for Valley Industrial Trucks.

Seegrid Corporation has appointed Tim Chiocchio as its new lean project manager. Chiocchio gained most of his lean experience and training over the past 21 years, first working as a manufacturing manager at Sony Electronics. He was trained under the Toyota Production System Principles and gained vast experience in lean process and its application to production process improvement and material flow. He has visited Sony television and other electronic manufacturing plants in the United States, Mexico, Japan, and South Korea. Participating in these events provided him with training in process improvement activities and capturing best practices.
