Autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solutions manufacturer Seegrid Corporation has announced it will no longer be a distributor for US-headquartered materials handling equipment producer Raymond Corporation.
Pennsylvania-based Seegrid develops and manufactures AMR solutions for palletised material handling.
It says the ending of the partnership with Raymond, a division of Toyota and which was announced in 2012, will be effective at the end of the 90-day notice period.
Seegrid chief executive officer Joe Pajer says of the conclusion of the partnership: “This shift in go-to-market strategy follows a year marked by record-breaking end-user sales, with particularly high demand for our advanced autonomous lift truck solutions”.
“This move will allow us to sell and service the full Seegrid-branded product line across all market segments rather than serving a large portion of the market through Raymond.
“We are seeing more customers desire a direct relationship with Seegrid as we roll out our new lift truck products and release innovative technology enhancements across our product line.”
