Youngstown-based Valley Industrial Trucks (VIT), a dealer and servicer of CLARK, Doosan and Sellick Forklifts as well as other materials handling equipment, this year celebrates its 60th anniversary of operation in the Mahoning Valley.

The firm's milestone comes on the heels of a record 2015, with revenue reaching an all-time high and the company continuing to expand into new and growing market segments while adding to its work force and considering acquisitions.

"We take great pride in our long history in the Mahoning Valley," says Valley Industrial Trucks president Jim Hammond. "Additionally, our strong 2015 and strategic investments in our business have us well positioned to continue to thrive in the future."

In addition to increasing its service department staff, VIT has intensified its focus in the electric forklift space, which now represents more than 50% of all sales.

VIT is a full-service dealer of materials handling products such as forklifts, hand trucks, dock equipment, scissor lifts, boom lifts and storage products. The company handles sales and service in 16 counties in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania, and has two locations - its home office in Youngstown and a satellite office in Akron.

The company began operations in Youngstown in 1956.
