Rodney Grant has announced he is retiring from his role as chief executive officer of the Hire Industry Association New Zealand (HIANZ), effective from December 19.
Grant has held the position since February 2020.
“I have the luxury of deciding when to get off as an employee, and that time has come,” Grant says in a LinkedIn post.
“I am just a small part in the operation of the association. The people in the industry, the board and an amazing team that I have the opportunity to work with over the last five years are the ones that collectively added way more and will continue to take the association forward.
“Thank you to everyone who supported me, put up with me and those who challenged me.”

Nancy Pinto, Hyster-Yale Materials Handling’s director of sales and operations planning (S&OP), has been named as a Trailblazer in the 2025 Women in Supply Chain awards.
The Trailblazer accolade recognises women leaders with more than 10 years of supply chain and logistics experience and who continue to shape the future of these industries.
Pinto has worked in supply chain leadership for more than 30 years, mostly recently designing a global strategic planning framework that helps guide business decisions amid economic and geopolitical uncertainty, for Hyster-Yale’s S&OP department.
Hyster-Yale Materials Handling president, Chuck Pascarelli, says: “Nancy is a passionate, results-driven leader whose influence resonates throughout our organisation — from the strategic insights her team delivers, to the rising talent she mentors”.
“Nancy is a true supply chain visionary, and this recognition is a well-earned testament to her expertise and impact,” Pascarelli adds.

Anthony Pishotti
Anthony Pishotti has been named president of US supply chain automation company Advanced Logistics.
Pishotti brings valuable experience in financial and supply chain leadership, having previously served separately as chief commercial officer of Honeywell Intelligrated.
He started with Advanced Logistics in May 2025.
“We are confident in our ability to deliver adaptable, scalable engineered solutions tailored to optimise each client’s unique operational needs,” Pishotti says.
