New 8-Series trucks
IRVINE, CA, United StatesToyota Material Handling USA Inc has unveiled its 8-Series large-capacity cushion- and pneumatic-tyre forklifts powered by two new Toyota-designed and -built four-cylinder engines.
The forklift series is designed for indoor and outdoor applications like paper, lumber and concrete industries, and large distribution centres moving heavy loads.
The 8-Series line-up includes 8,000 to 17,500 lb. (3,629 - 7,711 kg) pneumatic models with diesel, LPG, gasoline and dual-fuel engines, along with cushion LPG-powered models with 8,000 to 15,500 lb. (3,629 - 7,031 kg) lifting capacities. Toyota is also introducing a 12,000 lb. (5,443 kg) model for the paper industry.

Helsinki, FinlandKalmar, part of Cargotec, has launched the DCF50-90 forklift, the latest in its series of light range 5-9 T capacity machines.
The new truck boasts several technological improvements designed to boost operational efficiency and provide the driver with a high level of comfort, for round-the-clock operations.
It is the first in the new generation of light machines to be equipped with an SCR (silicon- controlled rectifier) traction control system. Along with the new 77 kW and 85 kW Agco engines, they combine to reduce fuel consumption and meet the latest EU (Stage IIIB, Tier 4i) emission requirements.
