Toyota Material Handling UK has provided free onsite training to Re-Instate, a social enterprise based in Kent aiming to boost employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.
The forklift operator training took place at Re-Instate's Kent office. Toyota previously trained members from the charity last year and was impressed by the support that was being provided by the charity. Toyota decided to provide an additional training session free-of-charge to help support the organisation.
Members of the charity received training on how to operate powered stackers safely. Toyota also provided free safety resources that including personal protective equipment and safety posters.

Jungheinrich showcases Industry 4.0 solutions

Jungheinrich displayed its competence in software and IT hardware for the warehouse environment at the CeBIT 2015 expo in Hannover, Germany this week.
The Jungheinrich Warehouse Management System (WMS) formed the centrepiece of the company stand measuring nearly 50 sqm (538 sqft.) of display space. The system "manages, controls and optimises the various warehouse procedures and ensures sustainably efficient and simple processes". The Jungheinrich WMS communicates with the industrial trucks in a warehouse via wireless data transmission and standard interfaces.
Apart from the traditional integration of industrial trucks with warehouse management systems, the Jungheinrich WMS is now also capable of integrating vertical lift systems, including the Jungheinrich Lift Racking (LRK) and Jungheinrich Paternoster Racking (PRK) systems.

The winning dealers were announced at Toyota's annual forklift dealer meeting, and the group will go on a Toyota-sponsored trip to Hawaii later this year.
