TMHE launches new truck and SpotMe
The new BT Reflex truck
Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) has launched the BT Reflex O-series RRE160R reach truck for indoor and outdoor applications.
The reach truck is based on the BT Reflex R-series model and incorporates the BT Reflex core values of "productivity, drivability, safety and durability".
"We are constantly looking for ways to improve our products and services and drive down our customers' expense in materials handling," says product management director Niclas Sternerup. "Our aim is to offer them the peace of mind they need to focus on their business."
The truck is available with a 1.6 T capacity and lifts up to 7.5 m (24.6 ft.).
TMHE has also introduced SpotMe, a warning system to prevent traffic-related accidents in warehouses. Built with infrared direction-sensitive sensors, the warning system detects the presence of forklifts and pedestrians at crossroads and alerts them. When a potential impact danger is spotted, a warning unit flashes. SpotMe was designed specifically to protect factory workers and merchandise.New Linde trucks are greener
Linde Material Handling will introduce new models from its 2 to 5 T diesel and LPG counterbalance truck series in 2013, coinciding with when Stage 3b of the European emissions directive (2004/26/EC) for vehicles in the 37 to 56 kW power range comes into force.
The H25 to H50 EVO models will also comply with the emission legislation US-EPA TIER 4 final (40 CFR 89, 40 CFR 1039, 40 CFR 1068), which comes into force from 2013.
The new trucks will be unveiled to the public for the first time at LogiMAT trade fair from 19 to 21 February, 2013 in Stuttgart, Germany.
