Konecranes acquires assets of Eleve SL News Story - 30 Jun 2011 ( #520 ) - Hyvinkää, Finland 1 min read Konecranes has acquired the business assets of Spanish crane and service company Eleve SL.Eleve SL is located in Badalona, 5 km north of Barcelona. The service business has about 20 employees. Eleve SL had net sales of approximately EUR3 million (USD4.3 million) in 2010. The acquisition price is confidential.Country manager Jürgen Dlugi says the acquisition will enhance Konecranes' service coverage significantly in the Barcelona area. "It will also add some valuable technicians in Valencia and Zaragoza. Eleve's offering and know-how complements that of Konecranes and will strengthen our position in this highly competitive environment."This acquisition complements Konecranes' previous investments in the Spanish market. These include the acquisitions of Spanish crane sales and service companies Eydimen 2000 SL and Ausió Sistemas de Elevación SL in 2008. The new organisation will be able to fully support the latest orders that Konecranes has received in Spain.
