ForwardX Robotics, which specialises in vision-based autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), has unveiled a new compact model designed for warehouse and manufacturing environments.
The Max 1500-L Slim is 245 mm (9.6 inches) tall, with a payload capacity of 1,500 kg (3,306 pounds).
ForwardX Robotics founder and chief executive Nicholas Chee says: "We firmly believe that this revolutionary AMR can significantly improve the operational capabilities of our customers, enabling them to achieve higher levels of productivity, safety and efficiency."
The new model’s obstacle detection and avoidance system covers a full 360 degrees, allowing the AMR to navigate complex environments, adapting to changing surroundings and avoiding potential hazards.
The Max 1500-L Slim also docks and lifts, accurately aligning with workstations and conveyor belts.
It can execute tasks such as each and case picking, cross-docking operations and managing material handling across different production lines.
ForwardX has deployed more than 3,000 AMRs in over 220 facilities across four continents and has offices in the United States, Japan, Korea and China.
