Discussion:
UK Pay and Conditions Forklift Engineers

I have seen recently lots of Forklift Mobile Engineers are still not being paid for travel despite it being a legal requirement?
Just wondered how many companies do or do not pay this now in the UK
( Only paid to employees who have no fixed place of work )

Technically they need to pay everybody door to door though ? I just wonder how they can ignore the law on this matter and why some do and some don't

Thanks for reply, here in the North quite a few companies still do not pay travel, including some major Players. Toyota Crown etc etc, I find this hard to understand when it's been UK law for quite some time?

I know very few engineers not being paid travel and onkmly 1 company in my area the South of the UK not paying travel. My advice would be if it's happening to you just hand in your notice and walk. There are far more jobs out there than there are engineers
