•  Manufactured in Europe – incorporating latest technology
•  Small, light and capable of bolstering partners’ intralogistics operations

Gennevilliers, France (23/10/2025)Exide Technologies has unveiled a new compact, user-friendly charger that is suitable for small electric vehicles, cleaning machines and pallet trucks.

An upgrade on its predecessor and succeeding the renowned 2100SP series, the Motion+ Premium Charger (SP3) is compatible with lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries, offering optimized charge profiles and recharge times tailored to specific battery capacities and types. It has a voltage range between 12 and 48V up to 1700W output power.

Manufactured in Europe by Exide Technologies, this innovative charger is small and light, making it easy to handle and install. Continuing the company’s commitment to user-friendliness, the SP3 serves as a like-for-like replacement for predecessors. This means existing accessories can also be used.

Furthermore, charging curves have been developed to match Exide’s own range of advanced lead-acid and lithium-ion light traction and small tray batteries - also manufactured in Europe - creating a perfect match that maximizes battery performance, efficiency and service life.

Key features:

  • High-energy efficiency: Utilizing HF (high frequency) technology, the Motion+ Premium charger ensures efficient power conversion while delivering optimal performance.
  • Compact and smart design: Requires minimal installation space, making it ideal for various environments.
  • Accessible operation: Equipped with a single control button and extra bright LED status indicator for easy use and perfect visibility.
  • Plug and play: The integrated wall bracket makes installation straightforward, and the automatic start feature ensures batteries are always powered without hassle.
  • Optimal charging profiles: Minimum strain on mains electricity and less charging time.
  • CAN-board functionality: Fully compatible with Li-Ion batteries using CAN communication.
  • USB data download function: An optional feature to simplify data management and monitoring.

Intralogistics simplified

Exide Technologies Senior Product Manager Motion, Dr. Michael Gellert, said: “We believe the new Motion+ Premium Charger will significantly enhance our partners’ intralogistics business, providing reliable and efficient charging solutions.

“Made in-house, we have controlled the design, development, technology and manufacture of this charger. This means our battery pedigree is in every facet of this product, and our partners should take great confidence in this.”

Alongside the SP3, Exide offers an extensive, diverse range of batteries, chargers and energy storage solutions for a wide variety of applications.
