Dematic's 120 reach truck seriesSupply chain automation specialists Dematic, has expanded its range of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) with the release of its reach truck series (RTS) 120, offering what it describes as “a direct path to automation” for operations already using manual reach trucks.
Dematic says the RTS 120 is designed for high-bay, single-selective racking environments, combining “reach truck functionality with the benefits of driverless automation”.
It is engineered to work within new and existing racking and warehouse designs, so this level of automation can be integrated into current operations without the need for major infrastructure changes.
The RTS, manufactured in Australia, is available in a number of models with capacities up to 1.2T and reach heights up to 10m. It can travel at speeds up to 1.7m a second, has advanced laser-guided navigation and can be used in freezer environments.
“By integrating directly with warehouse management and control systems, the RTS 120 brings reach truck automation into the mainstream, providing businesses with the flexibility to scale and adapt as their operations evolve,” says Tony Raggio, general manager sales – mobile automation ANZ Dematic.
“The RTS 120 represents a step change for customers who want to automate reach truck tasks without a complete redesign of their site.”
