The Australian Supply Chain & Logistics Association (ASCLA) has appointed Steven Ballerini as its inaugural chief executive officer.
Ballerini has more than 15 years’ experience driving growth and transformation in Australia’s supply chain and logistics sector and currently serves as a director with logistics management firm Cora.
“This appointment is a significant milestone for the association,” ASCLA states. “As we expand operations across Australia and New Zealand, deepen member value, and increase our industry influence, the need for dedicated executive leadership has become clear.
“With his extensive experience in strategic direction and organisational leadership, Steven's expertise will drive our next phase of growth - scaling member services [and] strengthening industry partnerships.”

Industry body Logistics UK has appointed Arthur Gribbin as its new engineering policy lead, where he will be responsible for “identifying opportunities to support innovation and regulatory alignment” as well as continuing to develop strong relationships across the entire sector.
Gribbin has more than 30 years’ experience in engineering, including a decade with Volvo Group where he rose to the position of area service manager.
“Logistics UK has a pivotal position in the sector,” Gribbin says, “and its commitment to innovation, sustainability and industry collaboration aligns with my values and experience.
“I am excited to be joining the organisation and keen to leverage my technical and policy experience to help enhance operational resilience and support the transition to low-carbon technologies.”

The Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) has named Jalen Price as its regional manager for Eastern Canada, based in Ottowa.
Price has a proven background in Canadian public policy, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement having most recently worked as the issues management and parliamentary affairs coordinator with the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office.
“We are excited to welcome Jalen to the AED team,” says Scott McPherson, vice president of member engagement, AED. “His background in public policy, deep understanding of economic issues, and experience working closely with decision-makers will bring tremendous value to our Canadian members.”
Price says he is “thrilled” to be joining AED.
