Discussion:
X No start threads

Hello all, reading through during a search, I noticed more than a few threads no start cranks no juice to coil and such like. Reminds me of recent experience involving new switch install in ys80 and called back a few days later with same difficulties. This time insisting on oem switch. Looking at the back of both switches revealed a difference of rivets used to attach the spade terminals to the plastic frame. The oem used a solid rivet that was spread on the end to hold the spade terminals tight. The after market unit used a hollow rivet that was rolled on the end to hold the spade terminals in place. Not good enough because the wire harness would hang on terminals and loosen in short oder an give you intermittent stalling , bucking, backfiring and no start. insist on oem, some dealers are charging oem $ and giving aftermarket.
