Samuk boasts smaller and safer truck
Peterborough, United KingdomSamuk Lift Trucks has introduced the J Series electric three-wheel forklift that it says combines compactness, intelligence and safety.
The new range offers lifting capacities from 1-1.6 tonnes and brings together "state-of-the-art electronics, a programmable regenerative braking system, a reliable drivetrain incorporating top quality AC components and full-flow microfiltered hydraulics".
Samuk says at the heart of the series is the Curtis Gen 2 intelligent AC drive system, which has simplified circuitry and brushless motors that require less servicing and can be used in wet or explosive conditions.
Mitsubishi boosts high-level order picking
Almere, NetherlandsMitsubishi Forklift Trucks has addressed "sway delay" with an innovation it claims raises picking productivity by about 5.8% in typical high-level order picking applications.
Mitsubishi's software-driven "active sway control" system automatically works out and delivers the correct adjustment needed to counteract the mast's sway, so reducing the time an operator must wait between picks for the swaying to stop.
The feature is said to cut sway delay by 7.5 seconds per pick, on average, when operating at heights between 5,100-10,000mm (16.7-32.8 feet), saving up to 20 minutes in a typical shift.
Mitsubishi's OPBH10N series of high-level order pickers are the first trucks to benefit from this new development.
Manitou's newest telehandler
West Bend, WI, United StatesManitou has released the MLT 625 telehandler for agricultural applications.
The low-profile, compact telehandler has a maximum lift height of 19. 3 feet (5,867 mm) and a maximum lift capacity of 5,500 lbs (2,495 kg).
The telehandler is said to provide substantial power and reach in a compact machine that can access low overhead buildings, garages and barns. The machine has an overall height of 6. 7 feet (2,000 mm) and a width of just under six feet (1,819 mm). Its short turning radius of 10 feet (3,190 mm) enables it to manoeuvre into normally inaccessible spaces.
