Red Dot for Chinese company
Hangzhou, ChinaE-P Equipment Co Ltd's EP Maximin E-truck has won the Red Dot Design Award.
Founded in 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany, the award for industrial product design, is given based on the criteria of "creativity, functions, physical engineering, durability and ecological effect".
E-P Equipment is the first Chinese forklift company to win the award. A total of 4,515 entries from 1,800 manufacturers and designers from 56 countries competed in the 2012 awards.
Samuk appoints Sheaf
Bedfordshire, United KingdomSamuk Lift Trucks has appointed Sheaf Materials Handling Ltd as its newest dealer.
Sheaf, founded 28 years ago by father and son Roy and Andrew Kohler, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, has grown into a company, which employs eight service engineers.
Andrew Kohler says, "We were looking for a product which was simple and easy to maintain that would work in arduous environments without the need for 'laptop servicing'. We needed a company like SAMUK Lift Trucks, which actually stocks forklifts from electric pallet trucks to 18 T machines."
