Crown Equipment Corp has introduced the Crown InfoLink 3.0 fleet and operator management system with features to improve customer productivity and cut costs.

InfoLink 3.0 builds on the dashboard approach unveiled in InfoLink 2.5. Crown says InfoLink 3.0 enables customers to achieve operational and cost efficiencies by viewing the warehouse management system and forklift data via a single vehicle-mounted computer.

The system is equipped with six dashboards covering the areas of operator and fleet performance - compliance, impacts, productivity, utilisation, energy and service. The InfoLink interface uses colour-coded indicators that inform managers of whether their trucks meet established goals (green), require attention (yellow), or need immediate action (red).

Still forklifts for outdoor operation
Hamburg, Germany

Still GmbH has introduced the RC 40 diesel and LPG forklifts with load capacities of 1.5-3.0 tonnes (3,307-6,614lbs).

The RC 40 series features a large floor clearance and is suitable for use on uneven transport roads. Features that were implemented to reduce body vibrations for the operator include large drive wheels, a cabin mounted on four rubber shock absorbers and a foot space clad with a special vibration dampening floor mat.

The safety features of the forklifts include a large access step, visible from the top, and full visibility through the mast. An optional twin-pedal control offers the operator the advantages of changing the drive direction with his foot and safely performing a quick lift while driving slowly. If the driver depresses both pedals, the diesel engine will speed up according to how far the pedals are pressed but the truck will not move. This is a safety function unique to the new series.
