STILL introduces new trucks
Hamburg, GermanySTILL GmbH has launched the EK-X order pickers, which it claims have achieved "particularly sensitive movements and continuously variable lifting speeds", making them suitable for delicate goods and complex warehouses.
The EK-X can be operated in narrow warehouse situations due to its compact construction, which allows a minimum turning radius of 1,732 mm (5.7 ft.).
Logitrans modifies highlifter
Ribe, DenmarkLogitrans has made improvements on its highlifters after feedback from customers.
"Even more parts of the highlifters are now made of stainless steel," says sales director Gitte Kirkegaard. "With a stainless highlifter, companies with high demands for hygiene and companies with wet and aggressive environments can lift to an ergonomically correct working height. The normal painted models have a short operation life in companies with wet and aggressive environments."
Highlifters combine the advantages of a pallet truck with the characteristics of an adjustable lifting table.

Trucks with forklift channels
Akron, OH, United StatesAkro-Mils has launched new models of its Akro-Tilt truck line equipped with forklift channels. The new forklift channels allow loaded Akro-Tilt Trucks to be lifted, moved and maneuvered more easily, saving users time, money and effort.
The trucks are compatible with standard forklift models. The tilt truck design allows users to tip the truck over using forklift tynes. Akro-Tilt Trucks now come in 14 models, including seven with forklift channels.
Crown introduces new stacker
New Bremen, OH, United StatesCrown Equipment Corporation has introduced the Crown ST 3000-25 Series walkie straddle stacker, capable of handling up to 2,500 lb. (1,134 kg) and work in tight spaces.
Unlike typical counterbalance trucks that require an 11 to 13 ft. (3.3 - 3.9 m) aisle to operate, the Crown ST 3000-25 allows managers to use 6 to 7 ft. (1.8 - 2.1 m) aisles so they can maximise storage space.
The stacker is available in North and South America.
TICO adds to lineup
Tokyo, JapanToyota Industries Corporation (TICO) has developed a new Toyota industrial engine, the Toyota 1ZS diesel engine, for its forklifts.
The engine joins Toyota's lineup of clean and compact industrial engines, including the Toyota 1KD and 1FS engines announced in March. The engines will be installed in forklifts developed by TICO and marketed to manufacturers of construction machinery, agricultural equipment, power generators and a wide range of other industrial equipment.
Narrow Aisle's broader range
Tipton, United KingdomNarrow Aisle Inc will introduce an AC-powered, broader range of its Flexi articulating VNA forklifts at the upcoming MODEX Show in Atlanta, Georgia, on 17-20 March 2014.
The current Flexi G4 series will be re-introduced with AC power and marketed as the Flexi AC. Seven new models will be introduced, ranging from a smaller capacity unit, the Flexi VNA AC, which will work in aisles as narrow as 6 ft. (1.8 m) to a larger capacity HiMax AC 1350 that will work in aisles as narrow as 7 ft. (2.1 m).
The new models will be available in February.
