Range expansion a logical step

Linde Material Handling has expanded its logistic train range to meet customer needs.
Head of warehouse technology Tobias Zierhut says that the extension of the range was a logical step considering the different logistics processes customers use. The customer can select the solution they want from a range of chassis variants and trailer train combinations.
Customers' choice will depend on their predominant operational conditions and corresponding drive paths and drive widths, and particular type and number of loads and containers that need transportation.

TVH introduces wuBump

TVH has launched the Belgian-made wuBump shock absorber.
Developed by engineering office Wuylens, the shock absorber for forklifts with a maximum lift capacity of 5 T is now available in Europe.
The device weighs 10 kg (22 lb.) and efficiently protects against shock when the forklift travels up to speeds of 10 km/h (6.2 mph).
It serves to protect the forklift, driver, load and warehouse infrastructure in cases of collisions.

Jungheinrich's Kombi stacker

Jungheinrich will introduce a new narrow aisle truck in May.
The order picker/three-way stacker type EKX 410 with electric motor or "Kombi truck" can be used for stacking and retrieving pallets or box pallets and for picking individual items.
"We expect to expand our market position in the 1 T class and to have better access to markets for lift heights up to 10 m (33 ft.) with the introduction of this new range", says head of warehousing Sebastian Riedmaier.

Maxtruck 2T on show next week

MaxTruck AB will showcase the multi-directional Maxtruck 2T at LogiMAT 2012 in Stuttgart from 13-15 March.
It claims the 2 T counterbalance forklift which has a maximum lift height of 4.2 m (13.8 ft.), can replace up to five other forklifts as it can perform the tasks of other specialised trucks (Forkliftaction.com News #455).
The Maxtruck 2T is produced at a 2,000 sqm (21,528 sqft.) facility in the Bjurholm village in North Sweden. MaxTruck AB is a privately owned company. The Swedish government has acquired a 35% stake in it through its investment firm, Fouriertransform.
