CeMAT Australia 2025 is underway in SydneyCeMAT Australia 2025, a three day intralogistics, supply chain and automation industry event presented by Hannover Fairs Australia, wraps up at The Dome in Sydney today.
This year the event is being held collaboratively with the inaugural Industrial Transformation Australia show - a sister show of CeMAT Australia - and the Processing & Packaging Pavilion.
At CeMAT Australia, there have been more than 200 exhibitors and a highlight, as has been the case for many in previous years, has been the Australian Forklift Championships, which places a spotlight on the skill, speed and technical expertise of operators. Individual and team honours are up for grabs at the event.
CeMAT Australia opened with Julian Brancaccio from Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia, delivering a State of the Nation address, followed by Austrian manufacturer Knapp unveiling its AI-driven AeroBot which was awarded the Best Product Award in the Order Picking, Conveying, Lifting, and Storing Technology category at LogiMAT held in Stuttgart in March.
Among the product launches at the event have been two autonomous robots developed in partnership between Konica Minolta Australia and mobile robotics producer, Mobile Industrial Robots (MIR).
The MiR1200 is a next-generation autonomous mobile robot (AMR) has a payload capacity of 1,200kg and is designed for high-speed pallet transportation in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
Features include AI-based perception for pallet detection, a high-capacity battery with fast charging, compliance with ISO 3691-4 safety standards.
The MiR MC250 mobile robot combines an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) with a Universal Robots (UR) arm, powered by MiR's navigation technology.
“We're excited to bring the MiR MC250 and MiR1200 Pallet Jack to Australian shores for the first time,” says Konica Minolta Australia’s robotics business manager, Manglesh Jain. “These solutions offer practical automation that can be quickly integrated into real-world operations. CeMAT is the perfect opportunity for local businesses to see their potential firsthand.”
