MIR partners with Matthews InternationalMobile Industrial Robots (MIR) has formed a global partnership with the automation solutions segment of Matthews International.
MIR says the partnership will involve the pairing of Matthews’ warehouse execution system (WES) software, picking systems, and general automation expertise with MIR’s range of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
“Our customers face rapidly changing demands in their supply chains and distribution networks,” says Lars Vöcking, senior vice president and managing director, Matthews Industrial Automation EMEA.
“By integrating MIR’s AMRs into our existing suite of material handling solutions, we can help them unlock new efficiencies and build a more resilient, future-ready operation.”
Designed to deliver improved levels of customisation, flexibility, and performance, Matthews’ automation technologies have been deployed in more than 2,000 manufacturing and distribution centres around the world.
Jean-Pierre Hathout, president of MIR, highlights a reputation for strong customer relations and experience across multiple industries as further strengths of Matthews.
“Modern automation is all about cross-technology collaboration and integrability and this partnership will make it easier for operations to integrate and utilise AMRs in their business,” says Hathout.
