STILL honoured as leading innovator among SMEs
Hamburg, GermanySTILL has been honoured with the TOP 100 Seal, which is being awarded for the 24th time. In the independent selection process, the company was particularly convincing due to its successful innovation and outward-looking orientation.
The TOP 100 Seal has been awarded to SMEs by compamedia since 1993 for outstanding innovative strength and above-average innovation success.
Henry Puhl, chairman of STILL's management board, says: "Innovation within our company means actively inviting, listening to and discussing with our staff, who recognise new issues and invent opportunities for solutions."
JLG employees in community projects
McConnellsburg, PA, United StatesJLG Industries employees worldwide were given four hours of their time to volunteer at charities last week.
Approximately 700 employees in North America, India, China, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, UK, France, Spain, Italy, Russia, the Middle East, Romania, Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands participated in the Good 2 Give Back (G2GB) program.
"Giving back to the communities in which we operate is very important to us and speaks to our culture at JLG," says JLG Industries' vice president of global human resources, Emma McTague. "We can think of no better way to celebrate our parent company's milestone (100th) anniversary than by sharing our passions and talents with the communities we call home. We want this to be meaningful to each employee, so we encourage them to select programs close to their hearts."
Crown opens Canadian sales and service centre
New Bremen, OH, United StatesRyder Material Handling, part of Crown Lift Trucks, has opened a new facility in Brantford, Ontario.
The new sales and service facility is located in the city's Northwest Business Park and integrates existing operations from London, Kitchener and Hamilton into one central location. The new location will offer sales, rentals and service of the full line of Crown lift trucks, Crown Integrity Parts and other materials handling services.
"Brantford is strategically located to accommodate our existing operations in south-western Ontario as well as our future growth and is the perfect location for this facility," says Ron Greer, chief executive officer of Ryder Material Handling.
