The winners of the 2024 UK Materials Handling Association’s Archies Awards were named at a gala ceremony held in Birmingham on September 14.
The Archies Awards have been an annual event “honouring excellence in material handling” for the last 30 years.
The 2024 Archies Awards winners are:
- Apprentice of the Year - Dan Allen from Crown Lift Trucks
- Unsung Hero of the Year - Mark Hoskins, an engineer with HFT Forklifts
- Ergonomics of the Year - Combilift for its CB70E
- Dealer of the Year - Rushlift Itd
- Training Provider Award - 4KS Forklift Training
- Supplier of the Year - WB Powersource
- Safe Site Award - Babcock International Group’s Devonport Royal Dockyard
- Sustainability Award - Crown Lift Trucks
- Safety Product of the Year - Baumann Sideloader’s Safeload Assistance
- Services to the Industry - Paul Mulcahy from Toyota Materials Handling UK
- Manufacturer Product of the Year - Combilift’s LC-Blade
- Automation Product Innovation - Mitsubishi Logisnext Europe for its Rocla Automated Compact Truck AGV
- Lifetime Achievement Award - Mike Barton, Director of B&B Attachments
Combilift co-founder and chief executive officer, Martin McVicar says he is thrilled by the awards the company picked up.
"We are more than delighted to have won not just one, but two prestigious accolades at this years Archies 2024, making this our 12th Archies to date,” McVicar says.
