Linde launches new trucks
Hamburg, GermanyLinde Material Handling has launched a new hand pallet truck incorporating a brake.
The truck, ProBrake, can lift loads up to 2.5 T and is claimed to be a safer and more productive alternative in manual handling.
Linde says the effort involved moving the ProBrake from stationary is one-sixth of that of similar machines without a brake fitted.
The truck's 'easy start' mechanism overcomes the initial inertia of a stationary truck, enabling the operator to get the laden machine moving quickly and effortlessly.
Linde has also launched a new generation of counterbalance engine trucks.
The Linde EVO 2-5 T counterbalance range has a common rail diesel engine with variable displacement pump, which Linde says enables the truck to offer "excellent fuel efficiency".
Initial customer tests of the 5 T truck have revealed that it was up to 28% more fuel efficient than the previous model.
The EVO range has been designed to exceed the new EC stage IIIB emissions legislation, which came into force in January.

New and improved Tonero
Mjölby, SwedenToyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) has introduced the Toyota Tonero diesel counterbalance trucks with 1.5-3.5 T capacities and more efficient engine solutions.
Toyota designed and manufactured the 1DZIII industrial diesel engine to lower carbon dioxide emissions and reduce fuel consumption on the trucks.
This 36kW diesel engine has been optimised for fuel efficiency with the integration of a new fuel injection pump to regulate with a higher efficiency the fuel used for the combustion process.
