Hyster LO2.5 forklift truck

Hyster Co showed its LO2.5 centre rider forklift during the 28-29 April warehousing industry resources event (WIRE) in Dallas.

Hyster says the new forklift eases second-level order picking through a raising operator platform, adjustable electronic power steering, automatic speed reduction in cornering, and a suspended platform with an operator-sensing floor mat.

WIRE was held in conjunction with the Oak Brook, Illinois-based Warehousing Education and Research Council's (WERC) 2013 conference.

Jonathan Dawley, president of Hyster distribution, says the firm's Tracker wireless asset management system is drawing interest from customers. Hyster displayed Tracker technology initially at ProMat 2013 in February and had a system at WIRE to demonstrate its wireless monitoring, access and verification capabilities.
