Jungheinrich income declines
Hamburg, GermanyJungheinrich has posted incoming orders worth EUR2.357 billion (USD3.252 billion) for 2013, on the back of EBIT of EUR172 million (USD237 million), slightly lower than the EUR177 million (USD244 million) posted the previous year.
Net income declined by 5% to EUR107 million (USD147 million), compared to the prior year's EUR112 million (USD154 million).
The company says the world materials handling equipment market grew by 7%, while market volume in its core markets in Western Europe stagnated. Europe, Jungheinrich's main sales market, posted a gain of 2%, growing to 315,500 units, with demand in Western Europe stagnating and market volume in Eastern Europe rising by 8%.

Linde garners awards
Beijing, ChinaLinde (China) received the 2013 Best Logistics Enterprise Award and its CEO, CP Quek, was honoured with the 2013 Top 10 Logistics People Award at the China Logistics Technology Equipment Summit 2014 in Beijing. Award winners were selected based on expert interviews and an end-user survey of members of the logistics, pharmaceutical, retail, e-commerce and other industries.
Vice president of Linde (China), Xie Dean, told the summit that China's logistics equipment field will gradually develop to include intelligent logistics and incorporate green energy and ergonomics.
The summit, held at Beijing Diaoyutai State Hotel last month, had the theme "New Meaning of Logistics Technology".
Separately, Linde participated in the Asia Warehousing and Distribution Centre Show in Shanghai on 13 March. The event featured discussions on logistics concepts and trends between logistics experts and companies from e-commerce, retail and high-tech industries.
Ruyi wins industry awards
Hangzhou, ChinaNingbo Ruyi Joint Stock Co Ltd was awarded three honours, the 2013 Ninghai Industry Comprehensive Strength Top 50, 2013 Ninghai Import and Export Enterprise Top 5 and 2013 Ninghai Industry Tax Enterprise Top 10, last month.
The awards were presented by the Ninghai Party Committee and Ninghai Government during the Annual IndusAdd Blogtry Conference.
Meanwhile, Ruyi president Chu Jiwang has donated RMB1 million (USD161,000) to the Ninghai Charity Federation following a separate donation on 12 March.
