Concept vehicle wins design award
Hamburg, GermanyThe STILL cubeXX concept vehicle was one of 28 projects to receive the French
Étoile design award last month.
STILL France spokesperson Stéphane Boutron says the award confirms the quality of the intralogistics concept vehicle. "With the cubeXX, STILL has achieved a revolutionary concept in terms of both design and function."
It is the sixth award that STILL has won in the Observeur du Design competition in France. In 2004, the RX 50electric forklift received the French design prize. This was followed by the CS order picker (2005), the EXU-S pallet truck (2007), the FM-X reach truck (2008) and the CITI (2011).

Firm recognised for social responsibility
Xiamen, ChinaLinde (China) was awarded the 2013 China Logistics Social Responsibility Award at the 11th China Logistics Entrepreneur Annual Conference in Wuhan, Hebei province.
The company's contributions that were honoured included its promotion of environmental protection; advocacy of green logistics; consideration of the environment, health and safety in product design and development; and its involvement in education and charity.
Linde has donated to the Wenchuan and Ya'an earthquake area and the Hope Primary Schools in Shanxi and Tibet Ranwu areas, respectively.
The conference was held by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing.
Chinese president in 'top 10'
Hangzhou, ChinaNingbo Ruyi Joint Stock Co Ltd president Chu Jiwang was one of 10 people to receive an award at the 2013 Zhejiang Economy Annual Festival held in Hangzhou, China on 27 December.
Chu was recognised by an expert panel as one of the top 10 influential figures that have contributed to the economic transformation and development of Zhejiang province. The public also voted for the top 10, which can include politicians, academics and business people.
The festival attracted about 1,000 entrepreneurs from China and abroad.
